Chanel Boutique, Distillery District

This Project is a design of an upscale Chanel fashion boutique at the vacated premises of 14 Distillery Lane. The boutique is designed within a single-height space, occupying 1,650 square feet, and is located in the Distillery Historic District, a well-known tourist destination in Toronto, Ontario. The design takes into consideration that this is a historic site that can undertake renovations as long as it does not alter or ruin the original structure of the building. In addition, the design recognizes this as a destination shopping experience, providing an innovative and unique customer experience. Blending form with function, the design is fully accessible to all individuals while truly embodying the Chanel brand’s timeless refinement.

Design Approach:

A newly designed Chanel Boutique, located in the upscale Distillery Shopping District in Toronto, Canada, selling luxury women’s apparel, shoes, and bags. Chanel prides itself on the customer experience as its products are exclusively sold in stores. 

Chanel’s sophistication and daring quality truly inspire the design. The design prioritizes the customer experience with an open, light floor plan and a design that encapsulates both the delicacy and edge of the brand, blending linear lines with curved forms; a refined, sophisticated, and timeless simplicity. The understated curved forms throughout the space provide a stunning backdrop for Chanel’s one-of-a-kind pieces to prevail. As the design possesses high-quality materials, luxurious furniture pieces, a thoughtful lighting design, and spatial design elements that will ensure success to the Chanel vision and add even more strength to their title as “The Ultimate House of Luxury.”
